Privacy policy

1. Overview

Uzzygo (“we”, “our”) is a structured learning platform. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short on purpose.

2. Data we collect

  • Account: email, name, password hash, role.
  • Learning activity: enrollments, lesson progress, quiz results, lab completions, badges, certificates.
  • Billing: handled by Stripe — we store only subscription status, customer ID and plan metadata. We never store card numbers.
  • Team context: if you join an organization, your membership and role are stored.
  • Support messages: contact-form submissions (name, email, message).
  • Affiliate program: if you apply, how you will promote us and your website or channel; if approved, your code, commissions and payout records. When someone follows an affiliate link we count the click with a one-way hash of the IP address, never the address itself, and delete that record after 90 days. If you sign up or subscribe through a link, we store which affiliate referred you and the amounts of the invoices commission was earned on.

3. How we use your data

  • To deliver the learning experience and track your progress.
  • To provide account, subscription and team management.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To send account email, such as password reset links.
  • To secure the service and prevent abuse.
  • To credit and pay affiliates for the customers they refer.

We do not sell personal data. We do not send your learning content or labs to third-party AI models.

4. Cookies

We set one cookie that the service needs to work, one that remembers a layout choice, and, only if you arrive through an affiliate link, one that remembers which affiliate sent you. We do not use advertising cookies.

5. Third-party tools

  • Contabo hosts our server. Your account and learning data, and their backups, are stored there in our own database.
  • Cloudflare sits in front of the site for security and delivery, so it handles your IP address and the requests you make.
  • Stripe for billing and subscription management, once paid subscriptions open.
  • Content generation tools are used internally only by our editors to draft paths. Your account and learning data are never sent to these tools.

6. Your rights

You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to [email protected]. For EU/UK residents, rights under GDPR apply; for California residents, CCPA rights apply.

7. Data retention

We retain account and learning data while your account is active. After you delete your account, we erase personal data within 30 days (daily backups age out after 14 days), except where legal obligations require longer retention (e.g., tax records for Stripe invoices). Affiliate commission and payout records are financial records and stay after deletion, without your name, email or application answers.
